Fin Ministry: Russia’s GDP growth rate to slow down Jan–Jun 2019
MOSCOW, Nov 27 (PRIME) -- Russia’s gross domestic product (GDP) growth is likely to slow down in January–June 2019, and a more stable trend will resume later, Deputy Finance Minister Vladimir Kolychev said on Tuesday.
“In the first half of the year the growth rate is likely to decelerate, and after that we will come to a more stable course,” he said.
“From the point of view of the budget policy lags, we are likely to see a situation of a higher taxation burden linked to higher value-added tax appearing earlier than the state national programs gain momentum which may take several quarters.”
